Conscious Fashion Tech News & Events in NYC | 10.1.18 - 10.27.18 | Conscious Shopping Panel Event Recap

Dear Friend,

Last week we had a full house at the panel discussion focused on conscious consumption Balanced Fashion hosted last week. Our panelists were Patrick Duffy, Founder of Global Fashion Exchange, Tara St James, Founder of Study NY, Taryn Hipwell is the founder of Beyond the Label, the author of How to Shop for Shi(f)t, Lauren Engelke, Sustainable Fashion Stylist and Anabel Maldonado, Founder of The Psychology of Fashion. Thanks so much for the amazing panelists for the insightful discussion and for the audience for actively listening! You can find the recap and photos from the event here, and watch the full video from the panel here. In addition, we hosted our first clothing swapping event, which was a success thanks to the support from Global Fashion Exchange. During the 3 hours of the swap, we helped eliminate the total of 21 pounds of clothing waste!

Read this comprehensive article I published on Medium today, featuring some of the main takeaways from the panel + additional tips on how to be a conscious fashion consumer.
